One of the elements I identify inside of myself is fire - manifesting as passion for people places and things, creativity, hunger to learn, tendency to burn through things quickly (and burn out), habit of burning bridges (trying to tone that down, now I just scorch them!), turning the fire on myself - using myself as the fuel.
I feel that molten burning energy inside me (lava-like), and when things are good, impulses balanced, it keeps me fired up, ready for the next challenge but able to rest and recreate. When things are out of balance, the fire starts to burn through, consuming me, burning others, destroying my environment.
Luckily (or perhaps luck has nothing to do with it, perhaps I am a part of what made this happen), the fires, although threatening lately, are safely contained - kept safely inside without being damped down to nothing. "
